For Partners

Refer clients.
We handle the rest.

If you work with businesses that need working capital, Runway makes it simple to refer them. We handle structuring, onboarding, and ongoing management — and we pay fees for introductions that result in funded programs.

Who Refers to Runway

We work with partners who
encounter working capital needs.

Runway’s referral network includes professionals who interact with businesses as part of their existing practice — and who see working capital needs arise regularly.

Credit Insurance Brokers
Brokers placing trade credit insurance regularly work with buyers and suppliers managing payment risk — many of whom are ideal SCF or ARF candidates.
Restructuring Advisors
Businesses in transition often have untapped working capital in their supply chain or receivables. Advisors who surface these opportunities can refer them to Runway.
Private Equity Sponsors
PE firms with portfolio companies in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods frequently have businesses that are strong SCF or ARF candidates.
Investment Banks & Lenders
Mid-market banks and specialty lenders who encounter working capital needs outside their own mandate can refer clients to Runway without disrupting the relationship.
SCF Platforms at Capacity
Other SCF or trade finance platforms that have reached capacity on certain programs or deal types can refer overflow opportunities to Runway.
Business Advisors & CFO Consultants
Finance consultants and fractional CFOs who advise businesses on capital structure often identify SCF or ARF opportunities naturally.
How Referrals Work

Simple process.
Transparent fees.

Referring a client to Runway is straightforward. You make the introduction, we handle everything else — and we keep you informed along the way.

1
You identify a working capital opportunity
Through your existing client relationships, you encounter a business that could benefit from SCF or ARF — or you’re looking to introduce an institutional capital provider to Runway’s origination pipeline and fully-serviced programs.
2
Submit via the Get Started form
Complete the Get Started form and select “Referring a Client.” Include what you know about the client’s situation — product type, revenue size, and any context that helps us prioritise the introduction.
3
Runway takes it from there
We reach out to the referred client directly, handle all program structuring and onboarding, and keep you informed on deal progress. We never compete with your relationship or position ourselves as an alternative to your services.
4
Fee paid on funded programs
If the referral results in a funded program, we pay a referral fee. The fee structure is agreed with you directly before the introduction is made — no ambiguity, no surprises.
Referral Fee Policy
Fees for introductions that lead to funded programs.
Runway pays referral fees to partners whose introductions result in live, funded programs. Here’s how it works.
Agreed upfront Fee terms are confirmed before you make the introduction — nothing left ambiguous.
Paid on funded programs Fees trigger on program go-live — when capital is deployed and the program is live.
We don’t compete with you Runway complements your client relationship — we never position as a replacement for your services.
Referral Portal coming soon A dedicated portal to submit, track, and manage referrals is in development.
Our Principles

How we work
with our partners.

01
We protect your relationship
When you refer a client to Runway, we engage with them purely on working capital. We don’t pitch other services, we don’t compete with your mandate, and we don’t position ourselves as a replacement for your expertise.
02
Transparency throughout
We keep referring partners informed as deals progress. If a referral doesn’t qualify or doesn’t proceed, we tell you why — so you can make better referrals in the future.
03
No pressure, no quotas
We welcome referrals on an ad hoc basis. There are no volume commitments or minimum referral requirements — refer when you see the right opportunity, not because you have to.
04
Honest about fit
We only take on programs we believe we can execute well. If a referred client isn’t the right fit for Runway, we’ll tell you honestly — not string anyone along.
